Knowledge helps you make good decisions
Procrastination is a dirty word. We procrastinate to make life easier now, only to have it bite us later. We know better but lack the knowledge to make a wise decision—right now. As I tutor or coach you, you will tap into a wealth of knowledge so you will be motivated to take action—starting now.
Knowledge puffs up, but…
Did anyone tell you, "Don't let it go to your head"? Maybe they were concerned about you becoming arrogant, but they were missing something important: everyone needs affirmation. If you have cheerleaders along the way encouraging you that you're on the right path and you're doing a good job, you'll be motivated to stay on track.
Okay now, let's finish the saying (it's actually from the Bible): "Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up." My coaching and tutoring is geared to do the most loving thing by being your cheerleader to succeed to better health.
Knowledge puts you in the driver's seat
My husband is a counselor. He tells me he helps people by working on their "self-efficacy" and "autonomy," to build a stronger "internal locus of control." That's just a lot of therapy talk that means putting you in the driver's seat of your life. As your coach and tutor, I want to work myself out of a job. Someday you'll be able to know your own needs, develop a plan, and execute that plan to have better health. Until then, I'm here to give you what you need to succeed.
